Adding colour to a neutral room is the perfect way to give it an instant lift. Follow the steps below to achieve the look:
Pick your colour
Look around your living room, if it already has a hint of colour (in this room we chose the curtains) start to repeat it around the room. A soft shade on the walls, such as this Apple Mist, creates a fresh relaxed scheme.
Layer cushions
A sofa packed with cushions will give your family room a really cosy feel. Layer different designs, mixing checks with florals and co-ordinate the scheme by repeating some of the same fabrics used in the curtains.
Don't forget the accessories
Add in some accessories in your chosen colour around the room. Here green ceramics and glassware were perfect for the job.
